Director – Partner Business (Business Development & Out-Licensing)

Base salary c£80,000-100,000, 15% bonus, stock options, 28 days annual leave, private healthcare, good pension.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading global generic business with within the commercial team. Reporting directly into the VP of Commercial Generics you will be responsible for identifying new partners and building relationships with existing partnerships within the Europe/ EMEA region.

You will work closely within the Partner business team to strategise opportunities across the territory and maximise sales and profit within the region. You will also contribute to market access options, the company’s and commercial strategy and regulatory whilst taking responsibility for executing the commercial/ out-licensing strategy.

You will be successful at negotiating licensing and supply/ distribution agreements and contracts with clients. You must have vast out-licensing experience to be considered for this opportunity.

Other duties include:

  • Preparing business cases for internal approval.
  • Promoting the company brand in EMEA to build sustainable brand recall, managing the process from customer point of interest until licensing and supply are signed.
  • Build strong relationships across region to win new business.
  • Work closely with Legal team to finalise CDAs, licensing and supply/ distribution contracts.

To be considered you must:

  • Relevant background in a life sciences degree
  • 6-10 years’ experience within a business development & out-licensing role within Pharma, across Europe.
  • A strong team player with ability to execute deals independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business network in Europe and willing to travel
  • Target orientated
